We have since we first recieved B-Xentrics birthday-mix been totally in love with his mixing skills, so it was no wonder that felt obligated to get his arse to Sweden. So right after Modas massive birthday-party where he played for a crowd consisting of 2000 people, he took the flight to Sweden a few hours later. The result? One of the best weekends of my life and one hell of a I Love Electro-clubnight!
We took of course the liberty to record his dj-set, so you who missed out the night can hear what a god-send dj he is. Unfortunatly I messed up a little bit with the recording, so on some tracks the volume can be a little bit blown out and I’m sorry for that. I have also divided up his liveset in two parts, since the first part consisted most of Electro Synth and his second more Harder Disco. But enough said people: Enjoy!

Today, 20th of Oktober is Dödselectros 1st birthday. Can’t believe it’s only been a year and that it already went from shitty blog that nobody knew about to a well respected electronic music source with 1000 + visitis a day and the clip you see up here. It’s from our club night last saturday featuring B-Xentric behind the decks. We are moving at fast speeds and we won’t stop, believe us we won’t.

Decius is Maarten Keizer from down in the Netherlands. He fell in love with Mille through Dödselectro and has barely started producing yet. So far he’s only been into mixtapes. He stepped forward and asked for Milles permission to remix “Crysteena” and beeing the gentle and kind person Mille is, he let him have a go.
The remix is a really sweet loungy lullaby with a big spacy melancholic feel true to the wonderful original, with all the parts still intact. This is Decius first production ever, and it really shines! The greatness of the original and the gentle tweaking of this debutant truly deserves your attention. This is one hell of a ballad and it totally works in the teched out clubs!

Electronica house god Rex the Dog remixed the most hyped duo out there right now; Röyksopp & their golden “oldie” ‘This Must Be It’ featuring Karin Dreijer. We seem to be the first to post this up (besides rex himself) which is pretty cool. I think his description is ace so I quote:
“Karin Dreijer Andersson on vocals again. We are now the Karin Dreijer Andersson Remix Team or K-DART. Ha ha…. When we were asked to remix this, we only had to hear the first words: ‘Waiting for a beam to break through here, a chain way* vision all bright and clear’ to say yes. Somehow those opening lines are very beautiful, like something Rutger Hauer might have improvised in Blade Runner (a chain way what now??). The remix has a lot of vocoder in it and a steel drum melody again. Strangely hooked on those now.
(*ooops, that’s not even the lyric… it’s ‘janeway’…whaaaat?)”

Native Jamaican, Stockholm based Mikey Mic has been out there jogging wheels in cities all over the world for some time now. He’s played along side big names like Axwell, Guetta and Flo Rida to name a few. Last year he’s been locked up in the studio concentrating fully on producing and he’s planning to drop all new originals through newly started Stockholm based Superhero music soon! French dreamwave disco house at it’s best. If this is your cup of tea you’ve probably heard about this guy before, Livyo popped up on the blog scene in the end of 2008, and recently his track Quark has been getting frequent attention. I’m in love with these sounds and decided to dig out some goodies for us all. Livyo truly deserves more hype, as this is some of the best synth works that has come out of france.
If this comes as an introduction then heads up! fans of Lifelike, Binary and Valerie, you will be delighted as sounds of late night summer synthesizers and moonlight lit highways will fill the air. Here is Quark, along with latest works Just Say and Why feat Geyster which is so good I could actually cry. Seriously. A dödselectro premiere you should embrace.
