I first got in contact with Defeat from Perth, Australia almost a year ago when this blog was brand new. It is a mystery even to me that I haven’t featured his tracks earlier. Good thing is I’ve been getting to follow this guy evolve, and now, Defeat has truly come up with his own distinct sound that has that edge to it. Rolling with the likes of Redial and Danger, Defeat makes driving distorted melody based electro tracks with a lot of retro influences. There are a lot of 16-bit games I used to play for the SNES that pops up in my head and gets me all nostalgic when listening. Here’s two of my favourite moments of Defeat, ‘Dance’ and ‘UNBRKBL’. Enjoy.

The duo Make The Girl Dance From France who made a big impact with their single and video for ‘Baby Baby Baby‘ are here with their second EP called ‘Kill Me’. The project, which started as a bet between these two frenchmen surely blew up big in just a short period of time, and everything is going their way right now. The EP is available for purchase through itunes and comes with remixes from We Are Enfant Terrible, Audrey Katz, Vektorkat and the remix from our favourite Toxic Avenger which I have to share with you all. As you would expect, it’s another magnificent dancefloor destroyer that doesn’t disappoint! A Dödselectro first! Enjoy.
Make the Girl Dance second video has it’s premier on february 2nd and you can preview a teaser here. They are also currently touring together with Toxic Avenger, for dates see their myspaces and don’t forget to show some love!
Robotic synth shredding beasts kap10kurt have been favourites of mine for a long time, ever since I saw the awesome video for Dangerseekers and heard the stellar chords of that keytar. Foolishly enough, I never featured their works. This here is their brand new summery space ballad remix of danish duo The Raveonettes track ‘Last Dance’ which is just perfect to end the night with. Enjoy.

Goldfrapp hits my very soft spot with their sound makeover. New single ‘Rocket’ is all about swirling 80s synth extasy in which college dreams and catching Van Halen live doesn’t seem far away. I’m just loving it!

The brand new album “Head First” is coming out on march 8th along with remixes from Grum and Penguin Prison amongst others! Too good to be true, til then hit that repeat button again and again, I can’t wait!
discodust just posted this track and the whole twitter community went crazy. Russ Chimes seems to be a hot pick among the ladies, crafting these disco synth anthems with piano builds that melts their hearts. To answer the question wether he’s available or not, I don’t have the info. Sorry. The remix just hit my inbox, so I’m not late to follow. The hype is his remix of the latest among female pop sensations Ellie Goulding’s upcoming single ‘Starry Eyed’, a wonderful song to be followed by her debut album on march 1st. Watch the video for the song here, and hear Russ Chimes epic-build-up-for-da-monster-drop remix right here!

Is it just me, or is that piano lead a little BURNS‘ed out? Nevertheless, this remix is the biggest shit to have struck this year! Show Ellie Goulding and Russ Chimes some love on myspace!
Drugs, dirty dancing and pounding techno music to work up your sweat to. That’s what I hope you are all going to do this weekend and by drugs I mean alka-seltzer to cure your hangover of course. Myself and Benedikt Örn from Jungle Fiction just finished this seriously badass distorted mix we just threw together and want to share it with all the suave people of Dödselectro. Hopefully you all like heavy drops and a block rockin beat to start off your weekend like I do, head on over to soundcloud, grab a free download and check that beast out. Hope you all have a insanely nice distorted weekend guys and gals.
Edwin van Cleef needs no introduction by now, he’s one of our favourite producers and you’ve surely heard of him if you read this blog. This time the man delivers an epic remix of spanish producer Vicknoise title EP track ‘Get Away’. It contains everything of Edwin that made us fall in love with his sound in the first place. Wonderful build up, massive drops and spaced out synths with beautifully sampled vocals on top. Enjoy!

German duo Rapid Sound is a cross between the typical dreamwave sounds of Binary and all that is french filter house in a big mash of modern disco. They’ve just released their callsign track ‘Visitors’ backed up with remixes from The Phantom’s Revenge and Hibtin as a free download on their myspace today. ‘Visitors’, falling into the hands of the almighty Phantom’s Revenge is just heavenly, this dude is truly a phantom when it comes to chopping up beats. This is immense madness, and the fucking sex in every way. Dj’s be feasting on this!
