Not only does Phonat create magnificent synth layered electro grooves and not only did he release one of 2009s best albums, he’s also into drum and bass. He took on cool cat collective Young Punx latest edition ‘Ready For the Fight’ and having shown us that he’s multi influental and talented in his music before, listening to this I can only come to the conclusion that he truly is a musical genius. Really feeling this dirty guitar riffin’ tune with crazy organ solos that add that flavour extraordinaire. I’m usually not into dnb! Ready for the weekend, for the fight, enjoy this along with the funkster big room edit from Young Punx themselves! Pick up the full release through Itunes.

Hyped pop outfit Yes Giantess are releasing their debut single ‘The Ruins’ on Neon Gold March 8th. Classy as they are over there with stellar taste in grooves they’ve made sure to secure top notch producers to handle the remixing to back this release up. And as much as the feature of the night is a Neon Gold favourite he’s a Dödselectro favourite, even more! London pride Fear of Tigers yet again gives us an unforgetful high energy synth driven disco track that will give that dance floor an epic romance teenage flick feel, setting hearts on fire. And yet again, sounds like these reminds me why I started this blog from the first place.

If I’d pick the number one summer tune of 2009 it have to be the Axwell remix of this track. With those true epic ibiza big room house vibes I just fell in love with it and listened to it countless of times. Well Imagine the surprise finding a A1 Bassline remix of it on the email some one year later! I’m really into the sounds this kid creates, and hearing this new direction of style with big euphoric techno leads and ridiculously breathtaking breakdowns and marching drums is just overwhelming. Whether he does it electro or techno doesn’t matter, A1 Bassline got mad skills.

Expect this track to give you the right feeling on dance floors all over. Look forward to a Grum remix of the same track dropping next week and the Axwell remix to be released april 26th! A1 Bassline! show him some love!
Time for some fresh hysterical fidget excellence from Sawgood, who’s music is wrecking dancefloors around the world. But what else can be expected, he is French after all, and they know how to pull it off.
This new track called Rock It which is taken from his latest release Sawsage EP, is just simply amazing! Once you hear it, you can fully understand the choice of artist name since his productions are full of saw lead layers that work so well together. I just love how it evolves throughout the track, and I got a good feeling it will hook you as well. Now Rock It people!

Sawsage EP was released last weekend and can be purchased at Beatport if you like what you hear and want to get the two other ace tracks Clowny and Sawsage. Hit him up on his myspace to hear more of his music and check the tour dates to see when he’s at your local club tearing it up!
From one of the biggest disco music blogs in the game, to a smashing debut EP release on Justin Faust run label Bouchemiture. California based Johnatron, one of the guys behind Disco Workout drops his Magic Missile EP and it’s 100% disco grooves, french filtered to perfection! Johnatrons cutting and layering reminds me a lot of the sounds of Poka and it’s definitly a sound I can’t get enough of. Backed up with stellar remixes from Dödselectro favourites Night Drugs and The Phantom’s Revenge this will truly get you going. Pick up the title track and two remixes here then head over to beatport and buy the full release containing three originals!

Remember when we posted about Loo & Placido last time? For those who missed that post out, I suggest that you take the time and check it out and make sure to grab that ace mixtape!
Now for the news in form of two new mega mashes that truly are amazing. I cannot help to get totally nostalgic by their mash Californication, since it heavily relies on 2 Pacs & Dr Dre’s California. Trust me Dj’s, play that track out and it will get any dancefloor going in a matter of seconds. Together with Rolling For Cash, Groovy baslines and vocals mixed with pro techniques is what you get! never wrong in my book!

Aussie pop wonders Cassette Kids are getting ready to follow up their debut album ‘We Are’, which had huge success in 2008 and led to touring with Lily Allen in 2009. Their next single ‘Spin’ is dropping in march backed up with remixes by Bang Gang, Cassian, Cassette Club and Vanish. As of right now, Russ Chimes big house remix is already spinnin’ the clubs and an essential if you have’nt added it to your case yet. With that Diamond Cut made one of his best remixes to date, I am liking the rougher approach on the bass that blend real nice with the synth works from the most schooled wizard in the game. Enjoy.

News from Kiez Beats Records: a new EP by Sick Boy is on it’s way! The name of the release is Energy Blast and it contains the original mix along with four badass remixes by Tom Deluxx, Jasko (Part of Gooseflesh), Markus Lange & Stereofunk and LaTourette. All of these tracks are just way to awesome, which brings me to the question; How often do you hear a release which doesn’t have a single bad track? A bit to rare for my part, so you can imagine how glad I was when I found this info in our inbox.
But since we haven’t featured him earlier on our blog, let me give you a quick recap so we all are on the same wave-lenght: Sick Boy is the guy who is well known in his homecountry (which is the Netherlands) for being the host of the gigantic Poptrash parties, having shared decks around the world with producers like Justice, Feadz, MSTRKRFT and etc. He also has released earlier EP’s on Dim Mak Records and have done official remixes for acts like StereoHeroes and Dirty Disco Youth. I can continue to namedrop, but I think you get the picture now that he is one the big names when it comes to the modern electro-scene. So press play on the soundcloud-player now so you can stream the tracks and get the reason why you should pay for this EP!
