  • The other day I stumbled upon the Various Artist record called “Ever Better” containg a bunch of known producers tracks that I haven’t heard before and some producers previously unknown to me.
So I figured “Hey, why not give this a shot?”.
Said and done, I downloaded it to my harddrive and left it there for a couple of days due to work 24/7. After those days, I finally got the chance to listen to it and well, it’s a decent compilation.
Some tracks were good and some were not that good, typical for a VA-record.

Anyway, when I got to the end of this compilation I almost fell off my chair,
The Bloody Sisters [AKA T.B.S.] with their track Time Machine … WOW! This track is just unbelievably good and it got everything that I crave; Catchy beat, perfect vocal-clippings, good upbuild and sweet leads! Listen for yourself to get a drift of what I’m talking about:

The Bloody Sisters - Time Machine

Right after that I hunted down their myspace and saw that they are going to realese their debut EP “Time Machine” later this month on the label Sismic Music and I can only speak for myself, this EP is a must!
In the meantime while you are waiting for the EP to arrive, you can always check out their blog were they post remixes they’ve made for free.

Listen to the posted track, realize that they are beyond godlike, get the remixes from their blog and lastly; wait like good boys & girls for the coming EP.
Oh, also don’t forget to show them some love on their myspace or I’m gonna be a sad panda!

    Namaste,
    EN

  • not often do I get addicted to female-based synth-pop, I usually think the singing spoils everything. Not this time though. Elly Jackson aka La Roux, London-based singer-songwriter makes me dig.
Fascination is one of those addictive fashion-synth-pop songs that just makes you singalong. Don’t know how many times I’ve listened to it in the last couple of days. You really have to check it out if you have’nt.

    La Roux - Fascination
La Roux - Reflections are protection

Elly’s releasing her first single Quicksand on french label Kitsune december 15th, you can pre-order it through roughtrade! I’ m sure we’ll see more from Elly in future, and I hope we’ll get a full album soon. Make sure you visit her myspace and show her the love she deserves.

  • just had to put a post up about this guy. This is some dark stuff, I’d say it’s pure deathelectro. Fitting I write about him then. I mean just look at his picture, what’s he doing in the forest, pouring champagne in plastic cups with clothes drying on a tree in the background. What’s he doing, man? Whos that girl? Are they having a picnic with cigarettes and champagne? I like it. Epic picture.

    Ashley - Untitle
    Ashley - idol kid

Ashley aka Cedric Octor, from France, started out making music under the name Ashley in 2005. He’s now getting the track Like a Drug Dropped On Your Lips released on the compilation Machine Gum Vol.1 at Kaugummi.
No need to say more, visit his myspace and find out more about this guy. Listen to his tracks, experience some deathelectro.

  • I love it when you discover music so good you just want more and more. The thing is I just discovered these producers from France like a week ago, on myspace. I fell in love with the track Brother Treat You Right. They had’nt released an album, and I wanted more songs. Luckily for me, now that I check their myspace one week later, they’ve realesed their Early Works album, to download for free!

The album contains lots of remixes and covers (and even a tribute to Isabella Rossellini); picture. These guys know how to make heavy danceable electrobeats mixed with beautiful soundscapes. Download these songs, if you like them, head over to Pillage myspace and get the full album. Show them some love and let’s hope we’ll see more from Pillage in the future!

Pillage - Brother treat You Right
    Pillage - Girlhouse
Pillage - Dorothy (Tribute to Isabella Rossellini)

    Salute!

  • The new album from capsule is here. More! More! More! is not what I thought it would be. I’m of course comparing it to FLASHBACK that was released almost a year ago. That album had some really heavy electro/dance tunes, which they rounded up with some beautiful electronic popsongs. More! More! More! is a step towards the j-pop genre. There are some songs I really like though, Jumper, Phantom and the time is now. Jumper especially, it’s a solid production from beginning to end. I had hope that the album would have that sound.

    Capsule - Jumper
    Capsule - Phantom

More! More! More! is a good album, although it’s no FLASHBACK.
Right now I’m satisfied with Jumper. It’s one of the best songs this year. Thank you!
Head over to capsule’s myspace and give ´em some love!
    Buy the album here!

ps. the logo is finished, a big thank you to Robert who put this killerlogo together!
