The upcoming artist Kredo from Switzerland has been bringing us a lot of great tunes lately and his newest release is no exception. “One of a kind” is out as of today on the Swedish label called Bonerizing Records. You can grab it on Beatport, it also comes with three killer-remixes from Tommie Keeston, Charlie Kane and Finish Him!. I personally recommend an extra listen to Charlie Kanes remix, extraordinary work! Previews posted down here, buy it on Beatport, don’t miss out on this awesome release!

When it comes to the genre Moombahton (still having a hard time with calling it genre, since it’s dirty dutch house pinched down to 109 BPM basicly), I have never had so much positive to say. I found thou Midtempo good, since those producers pick out the Dirty Dutch aspect and picks in the dubstep sound instead. But now I’ve got a good… no *clears throat*, I mean fantastic moombahton track I want to share with you. It’s Vato Gonzalez, who we have written about about earlier (link), who is sharing his latest track The Moombahstard for totally zero dinaras. According to the pressrelease, the track “is built around a sample from ‘Maria Lionza’ by Rubén Blades and Willie Colón, taken from their much praised classic album ‘Siembra’ of the late ’70s“. Not that really says to much for me to be honest, but what says a lot is that the track flexes between the typical Moomba-sound and the filthy midtempo style which makes me love it! So people, grab this one down and then thank Mr. Vato Gonzalez at his fanpage!

Saw a few minutes ago on facebook that our good friends at Stoney Roads had a really interesting scoop going on. Apparently, the two giants Boys Noize and Mr. Oizo have put their minds together and formed a new duo called Handbraekes. A very interesting combo I must say, so you can imagine how high expectations one can have about their music. And as you might expect, they really do know how to deliver some mindbending techno, and all the tracks gives you the urge to just repeat them over and over again! EP is titled #1 and will be out on February 6th via Boys Noize Records, enjoy streaming the full tracks in the meantime.
Oh god, it feels like ages since I wrote something here on the blog. What can it be… seven or eight weeks since I wrote my last post here? I have no idea about that to be honest. For those of you who been wondering why I (Niklas) been inactive from the blog all this time, then I can answer you with two words: Thesis paper. Yep, ten weeks of working day and night writing such a paper like that! But now that I’m done with that work, I can back to do this. Enough chit-chat, let’s get down to buisness!
I wrote about our mate Crunch Theory somewhere around the end of last year (post can be found here). He contacted me a few days ago to update me about his latest work, which is one teaser for an original of his own called The Kickdown that does sound really promising. He also sent towards my way two remixes (or as he calls it himself “Recrunches”) of The Isley Brothers Who’s That Lady and Defunct!’s Flashy Fidget Fame, both really good and also as already mentioned free. So please do hear out these tracks and get down the freebies, then head over to Crunch Theory’s fanpage on facebook to thank him!
I can also make a tip about the blog that Crunch Theory is a contributor at, which is chwyrvtmns.com, that I highly recommend. Found many good posts there to help myself catch up on what I’ve been missing out lately due to my previous mentioned obligations. Cheers!
One of my favorite duos released a new remix yesterday! In their latest mixtape you noticed more acid sounds than usual, maybe it was a hint for this one. Anyway, grab this juuuicy remix in 320 kbps on their fanpage for FREE. Listen, enjoy, destroy!
You’ve probably noticed now that i’m a remix-lover, i just love when you make someone else’s track into your own style and reaching a new crowd. Now, this one ain’t that different from the original but it’s still so good that it deserves some extra attention. The original is boring and i usually don’t find Darth & Vader that fun - but this remix is off-the-hook! Support this one fellas. Enjoy.
The LBCK boys Alex and Luigi just dropped this sexy mini-mix for Our House Records‘ one year anniversary. There’s some gems up in here, including an official remix and two originals, both “coming soon”. If you’re in San Francisco the 20th, make sure to catch them at Temple Nightclub. I’ll be there too — so come say hi!
MILK Collective and Zampaaa brings you a remix on Armand Mirpours track “Lucky Lady Hotshot”. The interesting thing about this one is that the original track is a 170-bpm poptrack with a light feeling to it but these guys made it super heavy instead, i’ve seen when they play it in the club and people go insane. There will be other remixes on this track available soon as well. Check it out!
