My motherfuckin’ man. Kyle Trewartha. The Wiz Kid… Singularity.
Smackin’ up stank bitches on and off stages, peep his new single “Fade“. It’ll make your pants fall down.
Interesting new feel on this remix from The Dirty Tees for Wildcat! Wildcat!’s “Mr. Quiche“. I think you’ll like it. I do!
It’s been years perhaps since I’ve heard from Aussie-chick producer Alison Wonderland. So happy to receive a promo from her now. If you’ve been missing her fun tunes as I have, you’ll be pleased to know she’s been putting in a ton of work. And she’s touring this summer. Unfortunately for me there are no USA appearances, but most of you might be in luck. Peep dates here.
If you didn’t catch the hype yesterday, the legendary Mr. Oizo gave away his “STADE 3” EP for free.
Grab it here.
Tobias wrote some time ago about the problem with the electro-house sounding today more or less the same. Well, he isn’t the only one here finding this sad. And the same could be said with the modern dubstep sound (aka “brostep”), but luckily for me is that I have a huge backcataloge of the UK dubstep scene to go through instead on that front. So I should be okay with my digging that I love to do!
Anyway, since I don’t digg around so much in the Electro-House scene for the moment, I had to find a new field to poke around in. And well, I’ve sort of found a new subgenre that gave me same sort of ecstasy that I got when I first discovered the Nu-disco scene back in 2008; Electric Carnival. Or new and new, I heard it before, but labeled it myself as “4/4-beat dubstep” and only knew of two producers which was Dismantle and Soap Dodgers. But it’s more than dubstep with a 4/4-beat, it has bits of tribal, dubstep, dutch house, electro and rave all mished-mashed together in most cases 140bpm. So after I found out that this music is labeled as it is (don’t ask me why it’s named that, I don’t have an answer to that), I could start to dig out a lot more. And well, after some time I’ve managed to get me some more of this!
So I decided last weekend to record a solid Electric Carnival mixtape to just see how it would work. I thought it would be fun for a moment, but a bit dull later on. But oh boy, I was dead wrong! Personally I feel this is the mixtape I had so far most fun to record and I can’t stop blasting it.
So anyway, I hope you will like this mix!
