Coeur De Pirate.

Maybe I should start learning french, I think it’s about time. It’s a hard language to learn I guess but, feels like I have to. I talk to a lot of french guys nowadays and it would be so much easier if I’d just have another language in my vocal cords.Coeur De Pirate is Béatrice Martin from Montreal Canada. She plays the piano and sings what I guess are wonderful stories in french. I came across her song ‘Comme Des Enfants’ a month ago. Ever since, I’ve been hooked. I fell for her sweet voice and the minimal piano builds, and as for not understanding what she’s singing, I don’t care. It sounds so good. About time I post this, along with a new remix from Le Matos (also from Canada). Their version is so right, slow bulding electronica that makes it more driving with that hard kick. I don’t know if I want to see another remix actually, don’t think so. Enjoy, and discover her album.

mp3 Coeur De Pirate - Comme De Enfants (Le Matos Andy Carmichael Remix)
Coeur De Pirate means ‘heart of the pirate’, and I noticed she have a pirate tattoo on her arm. Awsome, I love pirates.

Le Matos is absolutely sick. Ever heard “Like Perfume On A Pig”? That has to be one of the darkest, coldest electro songs I’ve ever heard.

It’s “Comme des Enfants (without “s” at “comme”). ;)
And I think they killed my favorite French song (and I don’t listen to many French songs), terrible remix… -

I think the remix gives it so much more energy, love it! Beautiful voice she’s got either way.

Coeur de Pirate comes from Montreal and not Quebec. Just thought I’d point that out…
I bought her CD a couple weeks ago, Comme des enfants is still my favorite track, but the rest of her album is definitely worth lisening to. All her songs are so soft, like mature lullabies!
