Defeat.

I first got in contact with Defeat from Perth, Australia almost a year ago when this blog was brand new. It is a mystery even to me that I haven’t featured his tracks earlier. Good thing is I’ve been getting to follow this guy evolve, and now, Defeat has truly come up with his own distinct sound that has that edge to it. Rolling with the likes of Redial and Danger, Defeat makes driving distorted melody based electro tracks with a lot of retro influences. There are a lot of 16-bit games I used to play for the SNES that pops up in my head and gets me all nostalgic when listening. Here’s two of my favourite moments of Defeat, ‘Dance’ and ‘UNBRKBL’. Ok, ima give it to you guys: I dont know how many posts I have gone back now, but I’ve been going for previous, previous, previous and previous for I dont know how many hours! And it’s all more or less magic! I have always loved the kind of 80’s sounding “retro electro” (which I love to refer it to) but I had no clue that there’s so much out there which I’ve missed out on! I started loving this several years ago…now there’s so much! So thanks ey!!
Gotta go to bed now I think, guess I have to continue tomorrow…
