Lil Jon featuring Kee + Danger.

Now, time to drop the bomb for tonite, in the form of a Dödselectro first! Lifesigns from one of the greatest producers to have walked the earth, if you ask me. I’m talking about a new Danger remix! This is fresh out of the oven, released as a part of a free compilation album of remixes through Adult Swim called ‘ATL RMX’. The remix is of Lil Jon featuring Kee song ‘Give It All You Got’ and if you can’t hear the combo in your head I can straight up tell you that this is just massive stuff that will find it’s way straight to the clubs! Just listen and go nuts. Thank you Adam.Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

That should be enough bassline madness and all the amiga flavoured synths you need til his already famous ‘EP 2′ drops. I’m like a child the day before christmas now, can’t wait.

As one of the earliest and most hysteric danger fan, I can honestly say that this is pure shit.
Its the first time Im disapointed on Francks work. What is this “thing” ? Seriously. This is so bad I cant even describe it.
I though danger had great taste and would never disappoint me. But THIS ??? It must be a joke or he was paid a lot of money to do it.I dont know. This combined with his latest tracks on his live who are just repetitive as fuck, boring and unoriginal (exact opposite of what I like in his music). Im waiting for his EP2 until I can say hes dead to me.

Kingpug, I’m actually glad the newer stuff is more club and still haven’t lost the danger flavour. His shit will rock even harder in clubs now and more and more will play it. Seriously don’t know what you’re thinkin. This is the sound of danger, just more pumping and club friendly. And dude this is one of his best remixes to date, except from the Love juice one. Maybe you just don’t like the vocals heh?

Lukas: thanks a bunch dude. More top notch posts right around the corner. Stick around.

The more I listen to it, the more I HATE it. Wtf are those vocals ??
The bass line is horrible, like a Rihanna remixed by davidshit guetta. There isnt any atmosphere in it. The rythmic is just another random-euro-dance-song. Kick and snare are awful. There is no skill displayed in it unlike every other song / remix he did in the past. The melody is.. well there isnt even a melody.
Well, everything is bad in it : / -

I also want to add that you can do great club songs without being a whore (14h54 anyone ?).

i hate lil jon as much as the next guy but danger makes it good! have you heard his other new song sales ‘today -20% discount on shields’? didnt care for it much but i saw the video for his japan tour thought that was pretty sick same with the ep preview he had on his myspace!

Tbh, 3:35 and onwards is the best part.. i.e. when Rihanna and Jon shut the fvck up! The beat itself is nice but hardly his magnum opus.

I must agree with kingpug a little. I don’t like this collidation of two different music styles at all. I really hate the vocals… It’s really awful :/ I hope he will realease more songs like 13h12, 14h54, Love juice and Chich lit.

Guys, this is a remix. You can’t start comparing it to his original works. Just doesn’t make sense. Have you even heard the new tracks? he’s playing them live already, do a quick youtube search for ‘danger live 09′ and I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Yo kingpug… ur talking shit dude. I am also a gigantic flaming danger fan, and I’d say you have no idea but i bet you do. I would argue your little he got paid money to do this “thing” and its completely repetitive blablabla. If you were a producer i think you would understand that it takes an unbelievable amount of time and talent to produce really good quality music. Perfect example 88h88. UNGLODLY of godessess of songs that took Franck over a year to make. He put this song out, thats groovy as hell, as a “filler” i would argue. His fans get antsy inbetween when he doesnt release songs that he calls his own inbetween EPs. Give him a break, EP II is gonna be incredible.

Ive already seen all those vids and Ive got a bootleg from a live in october that last like 1 hour. Some of his transitions are incredible like between 13h12 and divine.
The one on the third link is OK I presume, do not like it that much but still alright. Would like to hear it in higher quality.
The one on the first link is just bad, unless its just a loop hes dropping on his set and not the full lenght thing (wich I really doubt). Repetitive, boring and unoriginal, without any personality.I really do like the song hes playing just before 14h54 in his actual set. I think its a new production and not just a transition, with good arpeggios and futuristic atmosphere. (heres an extract for you bitches! : http://www.wormee.com/Wormee.html#&language=fr_FR/planet/track/1029571 ).
All his new stuff dosnt seem as crazy as what he was doing before. Not so many breaks and melodic changes. Just listen to 12h38. Hes making a point in it, telling a story during 6 mins.

kingpug said on December 11th, 2009 at 4:55 am
Also I want to add that this remix is probably just a “trip”, something that makes him laugh beause its assimilated, in france at least, with “bad” electronic music like bob sinclar or david guetta.
One good thing is that overall sound quality / mastering of his recent productions / remix are improving. One thing that was lacking before.Maybe being signed on Universal Music / Publishing as something to do with it … and bad taste that comes along ;)

No idea what half of these “Danger enthusiasts” have wrong with their hearing aids, but this song is about as disappointing as winning the lottery on your birthday. Why is it every time an artist tries to expand his/her sound, you’ve got these single-track obsessing group of listeners who believe an artist should stay in what is called “familiar waters” for the rest of his/her career. “Why doesn’t it sound more like 14h54, why doesn’t it sound like 11h30?” Upon first listen, I knew at once this was a Danger production. The first sign of a good producer is one who can retain his flavor whilst expanding on it. This keeps Danger from becoming stagnant, and that’s what makes him great.

Kungpug has many good points. I think you will hear a lot of great artists that are singned to bigger labels that will have to do things they dont really feel. There is sacrifices when going major, the ones who believes othervise are naive.
-
kingpug said on December 11th, 2009 at 5:31 pm
I really do think Franck is a real artist that will not let his material compromised by majors. At least I hope so. But his signing with Universal and a production with Rockstar / Timbaland right after that giving birth to a remixthat isnt, imo, on his standards is quite frightening.

Its not a good sign that he remixes a stupid liljon and rihanna song, can anyone sink any lower? aw well, hope this not lead to some random electro with pop influences and get all commersial and all that shit..
anyway, where talkin danger here so im pretty calm yet=)but is it not numer 3 EP? first the ep with 14h54 and all thoes and now the 07:46 (which kicks ass), ??

Star Wars plot - EPI then directly EPIII to finish with EPII and even maybe a EPIV before albums release.

Why are we assuming Danger doesn’t like a little hip-hop now and then? “Stupid Lil Jon song”? That’s a matter of opinion, my friend. That doesn’t mean he’s sinking into anything. Not that care for Lil Jon or Kee either, but I’m not going to rap on Danger because he jumps genre now and then. I also don’t believe remixing commercial music is a bad thing either, it just means he’s becoming more successful. Did you all write Daft Punk off when they performed with Kanye? To me, this is a great sign. More well-known remixes get made, the better his sound gets, the more money he makes and heck, maybe even more music videos and bigger venues will book him.
-
ht said on December 13th, 2009 at 4:31 pm
But wich some insight on how major record deals often work you sign to make a certain number of songs/remixes in a certain time period and some songs you get commissioned to work on is not your own choices. Then its not up to us to say if this song was one of them. The deals are often very benefictial for the artist when it comes to promotion and the financial part. Once again there is also sacrifices on the freedom part of things.
-
Decius said on December 15th, 2009 at 9:37 pm
Why all the fuss for the lil’ jon and kee song, don’t you remember that he did a remix of kanye and estelle? I mean, hes done this before and a good amount of people liked it. And yeah, why should he use his production skills to get the bills payed, doing it for the cash, noting wrong with that imo.
