The Loverider remix contest we started here ends now. I’m sorry for runnin late with this post, should have done it a week ago. First off, I wanna start by introducing Human Contact, a project formed by the two geniuses behind Loverider; CRJ and Thomas Dorian. Together they form an organic vocal driven space rave journey hard not to be touched by! Their myspace is up and running along with some of the remixes and they also have a new track in their player called ‘The Fall of Eden’, check it.

As for the winners, to be honest a lot of the stuff we got back sounded unfinished and didn’t quite please us, allthough we managed to get at least two remixes that are worthy the winner title! Edwin van Cleef never dissapoints and his sex change take turns this space ballad up a notch, true to the original but with the Edwin bassline and synths shooting it into another dimension, it’s damn good. And It’s quite easy to figure out why he calls it the ‘Sex Change’ remix.

Edmond from The Girls Can Hear Us! gave us a pumped up version more focused on the bass, I guess we can call it the club remix. It features samples from Daft Punk’s technologic and you’ll be surprised on how good this fits with the beats Edmond created, it does come in two versions though and if you want to hear the instrumental one head over to Human Contact on myspace.

We congratulate these two winners , drop by and show them some love on myspace! Thank you Edwin and Edmond. Now, what would a contest be without the runner ups. I have two that didn’t quite make it but still deserves to be heard, in my opinion.

Swedish GMK made a rough playfull bass focused take and i dig it, with some proper mastering it would be even better. Axel re-arranged the vocals and made a hell of mellow synth driven piece, I just thinks it lacks some sort of bass.
