Let’s face it, the electro scene is a little stuck. Amongst high pitched basslines and brostep breakdowns, modern talking limited to the max and what not. My uninvolvement in this blog lately is not because I stopped listened to electro. It’s just that it’s more rare to come by the great gems. Lately I’ve just let the big names slide by and focused on new talents and pure solid soulful dance tracks. Postin some of them here and really hope you enjoy.

This guy is a swede with roots in the progressive house department. However his latest, genius, piece of work ‘Snatch’ is something else. Beautiful melodic synth progression that builds into one of the most solid drops I heard in a while man. Focusing on hard heavy hitting bass rather than squeaky distorted noises. Dusk /
Dusk is a fairly new duo, hailing from the land with no trees, Iceland. Jakob Reynir Jakobsson & Bjarki Hallbergsson who make up this mysterious duo makes gritty hard hitting bass driven tracks with melodies that stick, and I really think you should check out their tracks. New favourite of mine here.

Jag vet absolut vad du menar, känns lite utmattat… tror mest de som är riktigt inne i det börjar känna av det. Har själv tänkt att snart börja försöka experimentera lite med en blandning av techhouse och electro, även lite daftpunk om det går! :-D
