I’ve been sitting on this one for a few days now so I’m super excited to finally get this out. Ninjetics, our favorite Danish trio, just dropped a massive single called “Keep Cryin“. I’m not going to hype this one up. Just listen and check out the interview. Oh, and if you missed Ninjetics our first time around, check here.

DE (HOUDINI): Tell us about Ninjetics the project and who you are as individuals. What’s a day in the life like?
Ninjetics: We are 3 nice guys in our mid 20s, with a passion for bassy house music. If one could say that we have a work routine, it would in short terms be that Andreas sing and Ulrik and Nicholas produce. Andreas is the vocal and lyrical wiz, and is often the one that starts an original idea, while Ulrik and Nicholas often tends to compose and produce the universe around it. But of course the roles often mix and Nicholas could just as well as Andreas be the mastermind behind a hookline as Ulrik or Andreas.
We think that this is one of our primary strengths – that we are able to support each other in all faces of producing and songwriting, drinking and meeting women etc.
Our current workspace is situated in the heart of Copehagen. The studio is located on a street most famous
for its housing of some of Denmarks most famous musicians.
Who are your biggest influences as an artist?
Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder, Justice, Wolfgang Gartner and The Weeknd. Well why not? Our musical style is very much inspired by pop hooklines and house music drops. So actually, despite it might seem unlikely that all these artist can inspire the same artist, we think that they all inspire us.
What’s it like being musicians on the grind in Denmark?
In Denmark you either do something really artsy that only you dig or you become a mainstream sellout that doesnt really generate anything new or original. The danish mainstream scene is at the moment highly influenced by the big room sound, and as one can tell from hearing our tracks, that doesn’t really comply with our idea of club music. Nevertheless a new bread of electronic artists have lately begun crawling out of the danish sewer. Artists such as Frederik Olufsen and Mikkas are trying to put danish glitch-style house music on the world map. This new wave motivates us alot!
What’s the next step for you? More releases? Touring? Videos?
We are currently working on our first official release called “How To Fly” which features an original mix and a pop-version for the radios. Our label “Cutbrook Records” is currently shopping it for some bigger international labels. Apart from world domination, we are just making noise and trying to get hyped by releasing free tracks for everyone who cares. As an extra bonus we got a preview from our latest free club-track which will be downloadable from monday on our soundcloud! (“Keep Cryin” above!)
