Röyksopp + Rex the Dog.
Electronica house god Rex the Dog remixed the most hyped duo out there right now; Röyksopp & their golden “oldie” ‘This Must Be It’ featuring Karin Dreijer. We seem to be the first to post this up (besides rex himself) which is pretty cool. I think his description is ace so I quote:“Karin Dreijer Andersson on vocals again. We are now the Karin Dreijer Andersson Remix Team or K-DART. Ha ha…. When we were asked to remix this, we only had to hear the first words: ‘Waiting for a beam to break through here, a chain way* vision all bright and clear’ to say yes. Somehow those opening lines are very beautiful, like something Rutger Hauer might have improvised in Blade Runner (a chain way what now??). The remix has a lot of vocoder in it and a steel drum melody again. Strangely hooked on those now.
(*ooops, that’s not even the lyric… it’s ‘janeway’…whaaaat?)”
Once again, I’m blown away, amazing synth work as always. Rex the Dog, Enjoy.

I must admit I like it even more than the original - everything Rex touches turns to synth-infused bubbly-electro-bouncing-explosion :P And he adds these complex basslines, amazing : )
